Legacy XP tokens return to Call of Duty Black Ops 6

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 developer Treyarch has brought the Legacy XP tokens back to the game with the November 19 update. Call of Duty players can now use the Legacy XP tokens earned in the previous Call of Duty games to Black Ops 6. The new Call of Duty Black Ops 6 update also brings various stability and quality-of-life fixes to Activision’s latest first-person shooter.

Battle veterans of the Call of Duty franchise look forward to using their Legacy tokens (like the Double XP tokens) in the next Call of Duty adventure they jump in. It helps them get a slight competitive edge over millions of other players. Which player wouldn’t like to use a Double XP token for a faster climb to the leaderboards? But first, you have to compete well to earn them. The Legacy XP tokens aren’t easy to get which makes them highly coveted among players committed to the Call of Duty franchise games.

If Legacy XP tokens are this valuable for Call of Duty players, why remove them in the first place? As per Treyarch, when Season 1 of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 came out, a bug in the game UI enabled the Black Ops 6 Legacy tokens also caused game stability issues. The Legacy XP tokens were removed and then brought back with a new patch that also fixes the stability issues plaguing Black Ops 6.

As part of the new Black Ops 6 update, Treyarch has improved the hitmarker UI “to help identify individual shots more easily”. The update addresses the “unintentional bug” in the game UI that was causing Modern Warfare II and Modern Warfare III camos to be applied to Black Ops 6 weapons. The weapon attachments from previous Call of Duty games are also not supported in Black Ops 6 on account of visual inconsistencies. The update also fixes the issue of some Perk bags not getting displayed when creating loadouts.
