What happens when robots hit the stage of America’s Got Talent? A viral moment, of course.
Boston Dynamics’ famous four-legged robots made a surprise appearance on AGT, performing a perfectly synced dance to Queen’s energetic hit “Don’t Stop Me Now.” The crowd was loving it. The judges were amazed. And for a few glorious moments, it felt like the robots might just win the whole thing.
But then some drama happened. One of the five robots suddenly stopped moving mid-performance, as if it had stage fright. The robot literally froze while the others kept grooving. But the show must go on. The remaining four didn’t miss a beat and finished the dance with style, earning four enthusiastic “yes” votes from the judges.
One of the judges, Simon Cowell, never one to hold back, actually appreciated the hiccup. “It was weirdly better that one of them died,” he said, “because it showed how difficult this was.” And honestly, he had a point. It was a rare and refreshing reminder that even these futuristic machines aren’t flawless.

Boston Dynamics is usually pretty tight-lipped about their robot fails, but this public moment of imperfection made the performance even more memorable. Years ago, the company started sharing behind-the-scenes clips of their robots stumbling during parkour training, showing just how much precision and effort goes into making them move like humans — or better.
So, while one robot might’ve taken a nap mid-show, the performance still won hearts (and views). If you haven’t watched it yet — trust us, it’s worth it.
