On the cricket show Game On Hai, former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar sparked a lighthearted viral moment with an amusing slip of the tongue. While evaluating Pakistan’s prospects in the upcoming Asia Cup final against India, Akhtar stated: “If Pakistan get Abhishek Bachchan out early on in a hypothetical situation, then what is going to happen with the middle-order? Their middle-order hasn’t performed well.”
The comment left the host and fellow panellists in stitches, who were quick to clarify his mix-up. Akhtar had intended to mention Indian opener Abhishek Sharma, but instead, he mistakenly named Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan. The blooper added a humorous twist to the otherwise high-pressure buildup to the big game.
The star Bollywood actor himself reacted to the story via his official X account saying, "Sir, with all due respect… don’t think they’ll even manage that! And I’m not even good at playing cricket."

India and Pakistan are set to face off in Dubai for the Asia Cup trophy, a contest that carries both sporting intensity and political undertones. Pakistan booked their place in the final with a narrow 11-run victory over Bangladesh, while India have remained undefeated throughout the competition. Matches between the two sides have recently been fiery, with post-match gestures and celebrations occasionally taking on added symbolic weight.
