India's players had plenty to say to England on Day 1 of the Lord's Test, and leading the charge was Mohammed Siraj. The pacer was repeatedly seen mocking the hosts, questioning the absence of their much-hyped 'Bazball' approach during a tense phase of play after lunch.

England struggled to score freely, with the pitch offering far more assistance to the bowlers than the flat tracks seen in the first two Tests. During the 31st over, Siraj was visibly animated, asking Joe Root where the aggressive, fearless 'Bazball' mindset had gone, as England went 28 consecutive deliveries without scoring a single run.

“Baz, Baz, Bazball. Now play Bazball. I want to see,” Siraj shouted towards Root. Watch the video here...

Root's teammate Ollie Pope believes the star batter will convert his 99 into a "monster" score when play resumes at Lord's on Friday (July 12). It will be his 37th Test hundred. He anchored the England's innings on a challenging track beautifully on Day 1 of the third Test between India and England.

Speaking at the post-day press conference, Pope said Root will not lose any sleep being on 99 at the end of the day and will come back with intent.

"I don't think he's the best sleeper anyway, to be honest," Pope said.

"I think obviously he would have loved to walk off 100. However, I think the bloke's got 36 of them now. So I don't think he'll be too sleepless because of that. I think his plans tomorrow will be definitely try and make it a monster, a monster innings. So yeah, he'll get his head down, I'm sure but yeah, it would be nice to see him get it, but yeah, he'll be looking at the bigger picture and trying to make it a monster," he added.
