‘We call it tamasha, all that is…’: Ravi Shastri on Day Three's heated final over at Lord's – Watch

With time-wasting tactics, England opener Zak Crawley enraged India as the third day of the third Test reached an exciting conclusion at Lord's. After England's bowlers finally came into their own late on Saturday's third day, the scores were matched at 387 apiece, giving Crawley and Ben Duckett enough time to play two nerve-racking overs deep in the twilight session.

Crawley retreated late in the speedster's run-up, gesturing at what appeared to be movement behind the bowler's elbow, prior to the third ball of Jasprit Bumrah's opening over. However, the pacer and Indian captain Shubman Gill were not convinced.

From the slips cordon, Gill shouted to Crawley, "Get some balls, grow some f***ing balls."

Chaos broke out in the middle after Bumrah's fifth ball hit Crawley on the glove, causing the opener to shake his hand and call for the team physio for medical aid.

As Gill and Crawley got into a furious argument with a lot of finger pointing, India's players surrounded Crawley and Duckett and the umpires had to step in.

Crawley's antics paid off, as England's openers had to face just six deliveries before stumps were called with the hosts at 2/0.

Before Day 4’s play, former India head coach Ravi Shastri was asked on Sky Sports Cricket about his views on the heated final over.

Shastri was asked that from the England point of view, they’re saying that India had no right to complain about England’s tactics.

'I would have done all that too, a little bit of argy-bargy is okay!'

The fierce competitor that he was during his playing days, Shastri responded, “If I am wearing the Indian hat I would have done all that. We call it ‘tamasha’. All that is allowed on the field of play. You want all that. You can’t just have that good morning, good evening, go home, a little bit of argy-bargy is okay in the middle as long as you don’t cross the line. So I am okay with all that.”
