India's star cricketer Virat Kohli praised Anant Ambani and his team at Vantara for 'making a remarkable difference in wildlife welfare'. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Vantara Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre, a wildlife preservation project founded by Anant, in Jamnagar, Gujarat, on Sunday.

"Anant Ambani and his entire team at Vantara are making a remarkable difference in wildlife welfare. Their dedication to rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation is shaping a more sustainable and compassionate ecosystem. #Vantara @narendramodi," wrote Kohli on social media platform X.

The Vantara Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre spans 3,500 acres and is dedicated to pioneering best-in-class animal conservation and care practices. It features state-of-the-art healthcare facilities, hospitals, research and academic centers, and collaborates with esteemed international organizations such as the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF). Home to over 2,000 species and more than 1.5 lakh rescued, endangered, and threatened animals, Vantara serves as a vital sanctuary for wildlife preservation.

During his visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spent time feeding and interacting with various species, including Asiatic lion cubs and white lion cubs. He also toured the advanced wildlife hospital, which is equipped with world-class facilities such as MRI, CT scans, and ICUs. The hospital houses specialized departments including Wildlife Anesthesia, Cardiology, Nephrology, Endoscopy, Dentistry, and Internal Medicine.

Additionally, PM Modi sat face to face with a Golden Tiger and four snow tigers—brothers who were rescued from a circus where they were forced to perform tricks.
