It was only last month that Punjab Kings batter Shashank Singh was scolded by his captain Shreyas Iyer after Qualifier 2 against Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season.
Shashank was run-out at a critical point in the match and even though Shreyas took his team over the line, he didn't overlook Shashank's careless attempt, which cost the side a vital wicket, and he gave him a mouthful after the match. Shashank remained silent while Shreyas vented his rage.
Shashank later acknowledged his error disclosing even his father did not talk to him till the final against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), which Punjab Kings lost by six runs.
And now Punjab Kings shared a video on their social media platforms, in which Shreyas and Shashank can be seen playing indoor cricket, which appears to be the former’s apartment. In a Super over between the two, Iyer had to score 12 runs off of Shashank's bowling. Shashank also briefed his PBKS captain on the fielding positions before the fun battle got underway. Shreyas in response noted that wide yorkers were not allowed because they were playing in a narrow passage.
Shashank increased his pace after being hit for two 4s, to which Shreyas cheekily reacted: “Gusse mein pace badh gaya. (His pace has increased because of anger.)”
Sharing the video, Punjab Kings wrote: “Rain hits. No field? No problem. Super over indoors. Brotherhood forever.”

The bonding between the two proved that both had moved on from the incident after Qualifier 2 and that Shreyas’ outburst had occurred in the heat of the moment.
