Ex-India coach's child Anaya Bangar set to feature in Big Boss 19 - Report

Child of former India cricketer and coach Sanjay Bangar, Anaya Bangar is reportedly set to take part in reality show Big Boss 19 as a contestant. Anaya underwent a gender transformation surgery and is on a journey to become a transgender athlete. She also works as a graphic designer, actor and lawyer for the LGBTQ+ community.

Anaya made headlines after sharing several stories during her transformation journey and is now reportedly set to enter the house of Big Boss.

According to an ETimes report, Anaya is likely to join the upcoming season of Bigg Boss, which begins on August 24. Known for her outspoken presence on social media, she is expected to bring a distinct charm to the show’s mix of contestants. Inside the house, viewers may get to see more of Anaya’s personal journey, including her experiences as a transgender athlete and her aspirations of making a mark in cricket.

Anaya also shared through a social media update that she has become eligible to play in women’s cricket.

"For the first time, I'm sharing the scientific report that documents my journey as a trans woman athlete. Over the past year, I've undergone structured physiological assessments after starting hormone therapy. This report captures the real, measurable impact of my transition not opinions, not assumptions, but data," Anaya can be heard saying in a video.

"I'm submitting this to the BCCI and ICC, with full transparency and hope. My only intention is to start a conversation based on facts not fear. To build space, not divide it. Whether you agree or not, thank you for witnessing," she added.

"Science kehta hai main women's cricket ke liye eligible hoon. Ab sawaal yeh hai kya duniya tayyar hai sach sunne ke liye? (Science says I am eligible for women's cricket. Now, the question is whether the world ready to accept the truth?" Anaya captioned the video.
