Rohit Sharma is a pure entertainer, be it his batting or his on-field antics. Many times, the India ODI captain has left fans chuckling with his witty take caught on the stump mic. Among the many such moments, Rohit's teammate and rising Indian star Yashasvi Jaiswal shed light on one in which he was at the receiving end.

The incident took place at India's last tour of Australia, which was nothing less than a disaster for the visitors. Then during the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne, which India lost by 184 runs, Jaiswal had to take some harsh words from then skipper Rohit for a mistake while fielding at silly point.

Gully cricket khel raha hai kya? (Are you playing gully cricket?)," an annoyed Rohit had yelled at Jaiswal, who by the latter's admission was taking evasive action prematurely. "Niche baith ke rah, jab tak ball khelega nahi, uthne ka nahi (Till he plays a shot, don’t get up. Stay low.)," Rohit added.

Jaiswal during an interview with Mashable India shed light on the moment, also laughed about it by calling it "a really great incident".

It all started with Jaiswal's previous exchanges with Sam Konstas, who was then playing his first Test. “He is slightly weird, I was batting and he kept saying things to me. I got angry and Nathan Lyon was bowling, I smacked the ball really hard at him purposely. But later even I had to field at silly point and the way Steve Smith was swinging his bat, I gasped 'Baap re!' and the wicket was also flat.

"At that time Rohit Sharma gave me a bit of scolding."

On being asked how Rohit doesn't hesitate before saying anything, Jaiswal said: "Rohit bhai is next level, I really enjoy playing with him. When Rohit Sharma scolds we know that he's scolding for us to get better. I talk a lot of inspiration from Rohit Sharma."

He went back to the Rohit's "gully cricket" jibe and added: "When Smith got into his stance, I thought he'll play a cover drive so I jumped and right when I jumped I realised 'arey baap re, ab toh gaya main'. Rishabh Pant started laughing because I jumped too quickly. But it was a really great incident, whenever we sit and if the video plays, everyone laughs."
