Sanjana Ganesan, wife of India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, lit up social media with a playful remark about her husband during the Asia Cup Super Four clash against Bangladesh. While interacting with actors Bobby Deol and Raghav Juyal — who were at the venue to promote their new Netflix series Ba****s of Bollywood — Ganesan dropped a line that quickly went viral.

Quoting a popular dialogue from the series, she said: “Aakhi duniya ek taraf, mera Bumrah ek taraf.” The cheeky statement left the audience in splits and instantly caught the attention of fans online, with many celebrating the sweet show of support for Bumrah.

The lighthearted moment added a touch of entertainment to the high-stakes match, blending cricket with a dash of Bollywood glamour.

The remark quickly struck a chord with fans online, with snippets of Sanjana’s witty response spreading across social media in no time. Audiences enjoyed her playful interaction and praised the ease with which she joined in the banter with the Bollywood stars.

Even as India and Bangladesh battled it out on the field, the lighthearted exchange off it brought an extra dose of entertainment, adding warmth and charm to an already thrilling night of cricket.

Coming to the result, Abhishek Sharma’s blazing knock of 75 set the tone, while Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy added the finishing touches with the ball, as India cruised past Bangladesh by 41 runs to book their spot in the Asia Cup final on Wednesday. Though India’s batting effort was below par, ending at 168 for six in their second Super 4 clash, Bangladesh faltered in reply and lacked the depth to mount a serious chase, eventually folding for 127 in 19.3 overs.
