The Nishita Kaal, or midnight hour, is considered the most auspicious time to perform Janmashtami Puja, as it is believed that Lord Krishna was born during this celestial hour.

What is Masik Krishna Janmashtami?

Masik Krishna Janmashtami is the monthly celebration of Lord Krishna’s birth, observed on Krishna Paksha Ashtami. Unlike the grand annual Janmashtami in Bhadrapada (August–September), the monthly version is more personal and spiritual. It offers devotees the chance to connect with Krishna regularly and seek his divine blessings.

Masik Krishna Janmashtami: Significance

Celebrates the divine birth of Lord Krishna, who symbolizes truth, righteousness, and devotion.
It is believed that observing this fast with pure heart and devotion removes sins and grants peace and prosperity.
Regular observance enhances one’s spiritual discipline and strengthens one’s bond with Lord Krishna.

Masik Krishna Janmashtami Rituals

1. Fasting (Vrat): Devotees observe a day-long fast, breaking it only after midnight rituals. Some opt for Phalahar (fruits and milk), while others keep a complete nirjal vrat (without food and water).

2. Puja and Bhajans: The puja is conducted at midnight, including chanting of Krishna mantras, reciting Bhagavad Gita shlokas, and singing bhajans and kirtans.

3. Offering to Lord Krishna: Devotees offer butter, milk, honey, sweets, and Tulsi leaves to Bal Krishna. His idol is bathed, adorned with fresh clothes and jewellery, and placed in a cradle, symbolising his divine birth.

4. Meditation and Reflection: The night is spent in prayer and meditation on Krishna’s leelas (divine plays), fostering inner peace and spiritual clarity.

The Nishita Puja Muhurat on June 19, from 12:03 AM to 12:43 AM, is the most auspicious time to perform rituals. Devotees should begin preparations early, clean the altar, decorate it with flowers, light diyas, and chant Lord Krishna’s name during this sacred time.

Masik Krishna Janmashtami in June 2025 offers a divine opportunity to reconnect with the teachings and energy of Lord Krishna. Observing this vrat with faith, devotion, and discipline brings spiritual upliftment and divine grace. Whether you're a devoted Krishna bhakt or someone seeking mental peace and purpose, this sacred night is the perfect time to surrender to the supreme love and wisdom of Shri Krishna.
