Hariyali Teej 2025 Significance

Hariyali Teej is celebrated to mark Goddess Parvati’s penance and her divine reunion with Lord Shiva after years of devotion. Women observe a nirjala vrat (fast without food or water) to seek blessings for a blissful and prosperous married life. The word "Hariyali" means greenery, symbolizing fertility, prosperity, and harmony with nature, as the festival coincides with the lush monsoon season.
