The Amarnath Yatra 2025 is set to welcome lakhs of Lord Shiva devotees from across the country and beyond. This annual spiritual journey to the sacred Amarnath Cave, where the naturally formed ice Shivling is worshipped, is among the most revered Hindu pilgrimages. To ensure a safe and smooth experience, the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) has released key updates regarding the Amarnath Yatra 2025 dates, registration process, and helicopter booking timelines. Amarnath Yatra 2025 Start and End Dates

The Amarnath Yatra 2025 start date has been officially confirmed as 3rd July 2025, with the yatra concluding on 9th August 2025, which coincides with Raksha Bandhan. These dates follow the traditional Hindu calendar and offer ample time for pilgrims to plan their journey.

• Opening Date: 3rd July 2025
• Closing Date: 9th August 2025
• Duration: 38 days

Here’s how to register for the Amarnath Yatra 2025 online:

1. Visit the official Shri AmarnathJi Shrine Board (SASB) website and click on “Online Services” in the top menu.
2. Select the “Yatra Permit Registration” option from the list.
3. Read all the guidelines, dos, and don’ts. Once done, click “I Agree” and then choose “Register”.
4. Fill in your personal details, such as name, yatra date, mobile number, Aadhaar number, etc. Upload a passport-size photo and a scanned copy of your Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC).
5. Verify your mobile number using the OTP sent to your registered number.
6. Within two hours, you’ll receive a payment link. Pay the registration fee (approximately ₹220, subject to change).
7. After successful payment, you can download your Yatra Registration Permit from the portal.

Offline Registration Process

For those preferring offline registration, the Jammu and Kashmir government has set up several centres, including Vaishnavi Dham, Panchayat Bhawan, and Mahajan Hall. Here’s how the process works:

• Collect a token slip from one of the designated centres. These tokens are issued three days before the selected yatra date.
• The next day, go to Saraswati Dham for your medical check-up and formal registration.
• On the same day, visit the RFID card centre in Jammu to collect your card and finalise the process.
