As race to White House heats up with less than 70 days remaining for the elections, Republican Party's vice-presidential candidate and Ohio Senator JD Vance on slammed Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden’s administration for their handling of the U.S. troop withdrawal from Afghanistan.
In a conversation with reporters at Arlington National Cemetery on Thursday, Vance responded to a question about the withdrawal by stating that Harris can 'go to hell,' according to CBS News.

Vance, running alongside Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, expressed his frustration over the lack of accountability following the withdrawal. He remarked, 'Three years ago, 13 brave, innocent Americans died, and they died because Kamala Harris refused to do her job, and there hasn't been a single investigation or a single firing.'
Former President Trump, also on the campaign trail, visited Arlington National Cemetery, specifically Section 60, where veterans of the post-9/11 conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan are buried. Trump was accompanied by the families of service members who lost their lives during the 2021 attack at Abbey Gate at Kabul airport in Afghanistan.
Vance did not hold back in his criticism of Harris, calling her 'disgraceful' for not taking action following the tragedy. He stated, 'Sometimes mistakes happen — that’s just the nature of government, the nature of military service. But to have those 13 Americans lose their lives and not fire a single person is disgraceful. Kamala Harris is disgraceful.'
According to CBS News, Vance also accused Harris of being inattentive during investigations, saying, 'It’s that Kamala Harris is so asleep at the wheel that she won’t even do an investigation into what happened, and she wants to yell at Donald Trump because he showed up. She can, she can go to hell.'
