Slovakia's Prime Minister Robert Fico underwent another surgery after being shot on May 15 and remains in serious condition, as confirmed by the country's deputy prime minister and defence minister on May 17. Fico, 59, sustained multiple gunshot wounds while greeting supporters after a government meeting in the former coal mining town of Handlova.
