On October 29, Ukrainian officials reported that six people were injured during a Russian overnight drone attack on Kyiv. The attack involved 48 drones, of which the Ukrainian military successfully shot down 26. Falling debris from a destroyed drone injured several individuals and caused a fire in a residential building in Kyiv's Solomianskyi district. One of the injured was taken to the hospital, as confirmed by his wife. Moscow has consistently denied targeting civilians amid the ongoing conflict that began with its invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. The war has lasted over 2.5 years, resulting in thousands of deaths, primarily among Ukrainians. The relentless attacks have turned numerous cities and villages into rubble, highlighting the extensive devastation inflicted on Ukraine throughout the conflict. As night raids continue, the situation in Kyiv and other regions remains precarious and fraught with danger for civilians.
