However, Trump emphasized that Washington would not exempt India from reciprocal tariffs, criticizing India’s import duties on certain US products as "unfair" and "strong." They also reached an agreement to make the US the primary supplier of oil and gas to India, aiming to reduce the US trade deficit, which stands at approximately USD 45 billion.
