Chinese Ambassador to India, Xu Feihong, expressed optimism about resuming direct flights between India and China following a recent meeting between Prime Minister Modi and President Xi at the BRICS summit. Xu highlighted that, while it’s natural for neighbouring countries like India and China to have differences, the leaders’ discussions set a constructive example for managing these issues. He conveyed his hope for smoother cooperation across various sectors, including business, education, and science, which could benefit both nations. Direct flights, previously available before 2020, would bring greater convenience, reducing both travel time and costs for citizens.
