The Nifty extended its winning streak for the fourth straight session, closing at its highest level since October 1, 2024, and logging gains for the second consecutive week. Bank Nifty hit a fresh lifetime high, breaching the 57,400 mark, while midcap and smallcap indices continued their run for a sixth day. Among sectors, Nifty Oil & Gas and Pharma were the top performers, while Realty, IT, and FMCG lagged. In the coming week, all eyes will be on key macro triggers including India’s manufacturing and services PMI data, as well as developments around the India-US trade deal. This morning, global cues were strong. Asian markets were off to a higher start this morning as investors parsed trade negotiations between US and Canada. Meanwhile, US markets ended Friday's session on a positive note.
