Ahead of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval’s visit to France, the country has submitted its final price offer for the purchase of 26 Rafale Marine jets, featuring a significant price reduction after intense negotiations. The jets will be deployed on the INS Vikrant aircraft carrier and various bases, with discussions scheduled during the India-France Strategic Dialogue starting September 30. This deal is vital for the Indian Navy to bolster its maritime strike capability. India will integrate the indigenous Uttam radar and indigenous weapons like Astra missiles and Rudram anti-radiation missiles, with pricing based on previous Rafale agreements, accounting for inflation.
