Zomato recently marked its 16th birthday with a creative and humorous advertisement that has captured public attention. Residents of Delhi NCR were greeted with a full-page Zomato ad in a leading newspaper, styled to resemble Indian political billboards. The ad prominently featured a photograph of founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal, accompanied by smaller images of other company executives.
The Hindi text read: “16th janamdin par aap sabhi ko apna pyar barsane ke liye koti koti dhanyavaad" (On our 16th birthday, heartfelt thanks to all of you for showering us with love).
The message was paired with an image of Deepinder Goyal, labelled as "Company Pramukh," and smaller photos of other officials. The ad concluded with a special offer inviting Zomato customers to join the celebrations by purchasing Zomato Gold for Rs 30 for six months.
Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma praised the innovative ad, sharing it on social media and congratulating Zomato on its milestone. His message, written in Hindi, lauded the company's creative approach: “On Zomato's 16th birthday, heartfelt congratulations to chief executive Mr Deepinder ji and his team! May God continue to bless us with such commendable advertisements.”
