As per latest reports, Red Chilli has been sown in an area of 35055 hectares as against 22199 hectares sown at the corresponding period last year. Average in season area is 24711 hectares in the state. Prakasam district reported 15622 hectares compared to last year 8583 hectares, Guntur district reported 7490 hectares compared to last year 2046 hectares and West Godavari district reported 1685 hectares compared to last year 1822 hectares.By: Skymetweather.com
