As Valentine’s Day approaches, everyone is sharing hearts, flowers, and romantic messages online, but a late-night message left the Greensboro Police Department completely baffled.
“You all should show off your single officers. I want a Valentine this year,” reads the post received by the Greensboro Police Department.
Sharing a hilarious screenshot of the exchange, they wrote, "We don't know how to respond to this one," after receiving a very specific request at 3:18 AM.
The department added, “We’re always grateful when people message us, and we look forward to responding as fast as we can.”
The screenshot revealed that the citizens sent a message to the police at 3:18 am and received an automatic reply.
The Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services joked in the comment section, “3 in the morning too… ok diva!” The Greensboro Police Department replied, “We just noticed that hahaha. Basically, ‘you up?’”

The post quickly went viral, drawing laughs from social media users everywhere.
One X user wrote, “Make a calendar of your single officers and sell it for Valentine’s Day.”
Another user added, “Calendar. Make a calendar and sell it. That's what she wants. But obviously, single men only. If they aren’t engaged, they are considered single.”
A third user commented, “The correct response would be. We are auctioning off our eligible bachelors for charity on the 14th!!! You're welcome.”
Another user wrote, “Obviously, you should respond with a date to a bachelor's evening gala charity auction benefiting the Greensboro Police Foundation (with boundaries + limitations specified)!
The Greensboro Police Department recently sparked laughs online after sharing a quirky interaction with a follower. Much like the Delhi Police in 2022, who had asked citizens to share their funniest excuses for breaking traffic rules.
