The Donald Trump-led US administration put a provocative spin on Valentine’s Day, telling illegal migrants to “Self-deport today and spend this Valentine’s Day with the one you love".
In a Valentine’s Day-themed message on X, US Customs and Border Protection wrote, urging illegal migrants to take advantage of the Trump Administration program to “self-deport." “Don’t wait, self-deport today and spend this Valentine’s Day with the one you love."
The post included a short clip, featuring slow-motion images of the deportation process, set to Elvis Presley’s torch song “Can’t Help Falling in Love."
With a line, “Shall I Stay? Would it be a sin?" playing in the background, the video shows military aircraft and handcuffed individuals being escorted by agents to flights out of the country.
The advertisement is aimed at migrants living in the United States without legal status. In his second term, President Trump has adopted a hardline immigration agenda centred on “mass deportations," border militarisation, and the systematic removal of legal protections for undocumented migrants.

The video quickly went viral, drawing widespread attention.
One user said, “This is why Trump is the president.”
Another X user added, “In politics, delivery can amplify impact more than substance.”
A third user wrote, “Golden Rule: AGE OF WAR IS OVER, IT IS AGE OF CIVIL WAR. based world or WW3.
From Maduro’s Capture To Greenland
In another post, the White House shared a set of politically themed digital Valentine’s Day cards.

One image shows US President Donald Trump holding what appears to be an “executive order” reading “UR My Valentine”.
Another card shows former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, framed like a Valentine’s card with “To:” and “From:” lines and a photo of him blindfolded during his transfer to New York. “You captured my heart,” the card reads.
The third card features Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen meeting a man who was wrongfully deported to El Salvador by the Trump administration despite a court order halting the move.
The image places them within a heart shape, next to the caption: “My love for you is as strong as Democrats’ love for illegal aliens. I’d fly 1,537 miles to have a drink with you.”
Another card depicts a heart-shaped image of Greenland’s map, again styled with a “To:” line, continuing international backlash before he appeared to step back on the proposal in recent weeks.
