Republican presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy appears to be on the lookout for a nanny. A job listing on a recruitment website catering to the ultra-wealthy reveals that the Indian-origin billionaire is willing to shell out more than $100,000 (Rs 83 lakh approximately) for a suitable candidate.
The job listing was found by Business Insider on EstateJobs.com, which is a website designed for wealthy patrons looking to expand their household staff.
The listing describes the opportunity to nanny for Ramaswamy’s two children as “an exceptional opportunity to join a high-profile family, contributing to the growth and development of their children while participating in unique family adventures.”
If chosen, the candidate will work on a weekly rota schedule that ensures one week on and one week off. This means the nanny will effectively earn $100,000 for 26 weeks of work.
The job also comes with other requirements, most notably the requirement to travel almost weekly via private air travel. “Weekly family travels, often via private flights, are a regular occurrence,” the listing reveals, adding that the successful candidate will join a household staff of “Chef, Nannies, a Housekeeper, and Private Security.”
Vivek Ramaswamy, 38, is married to Apoorva Ramaswamy. They met while studying together at Yale and now have two boys together, aged 3.5 and 1.
Although their household staff includes a chef, the nanny will be expected to assist with meal preparation and etiquette focusing on nutritious vegetarian options. Biotech billionaire and presidential hopeful Ramaswamy has earlier said he is a strict vegetarian.
Moreover, the nanny will work in collaboration with the nanny team, help establish a daily routine for the children, pack and unpack their belongings for travel and sign a non-disclosure agreement.
To be eligible for the role, the candidates must be at least 21 years of age and have relevant work experience.
