A police officer from Uttar Pradesh has been widely praised online after a video showed him carrying a differently-abled man on his shoulders to help him board a crowded train. The officer, identified as Ashwani Kumar, posted the clip himself on Instagram, where it quickly gained traction for its display of compassion and duty.

The short video showed Kumar noticing a passenger with a prosthetic leg struggling to climb the stairs at a railway station. Without hesitation, the officer lifted the man onto his shoulders and carried him through a packed platform to ensure he boarded the train safely.

Kumar shared the video with a message that read, “Madad ke liye rupay nahi, madad waala dil chahiye. Woh aap mein hai” (You don’t need money to help, only a heart that cares—and everyone has that). The post was captioned, “Nothing is bigger than humanity.”
