Riyazuddin A, a software engineer from Tamil Nadu, found himself in a difficult position when he was laid off from his job a few months ago. Struggling with mounting bills and numerous job rejections, he decided to work as a Swiggy delivery partner to support himself financially. Reflecting on this experience, Riyazuddin shared his journey in a heartfelt post on LinkedIn, describing how the role provided not just income but also important life lessons.

“I still remember those early morning rides, the blazing afternoon sun, the pouring rain, and those late-night deliveries. Each delivery wasn’t just about the earnings, it was a step forward in reclaiming my resilience,” Riyazuddin wrote. He explained that his time as a delivery partner, though challenging, taught him patience, persistence, and humility. “Balancing hope, rejection, and the grind of the day-to-day… those months as a Swiggy delivery partner gave me more than just financial support; they made me stronger.”

Riyazuddin also announced that he had secured a new job, marking the end of a difficult chapter in his life. “I’m incredibly grateful to announce that I’ve started a new chapter with a new company,” he said, taking a moment to thank Swiggy for the support it offered during a challenging time. “I owe a lot to those tough, heartful memories of the streets, the customers, and the support Swiggy provided when I needed it most.”

He concluded his message with words of encouragement for others going through tough times: “Hang in there. Sometimes, life’s unexpected detours lead us to places of growth and strength we never imagined.”
