Realme has launched two devices called Realme X and Realme X Lite in China. The main highlight of the Realme X which has been rumoured for quite sometime, is its notch-less screen and pop-up selfie camera.
Several reports in the past have leaked specifications of the Realme X. The Realme X sports a 6.53-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The screen does not have a hole or a notch and comes with an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 91.2 percent.
The Realme X was initially rumoured to have Snapdragon 730 onboard with 6GB/8GB RAM However, it comes with a Snapdragon 710 SoC onboard, which was recently spotted on a Geekbench listing. The SoC is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
In terms of optics, the Realme X has a dual camera setup with a 48MP f/1.7 primary sensor and a 5MP f/2.4 secondary lens. The smartphone comes with a 3,765 mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast-charging support.
Realme X has been launched with a starting price of Yuan 1,499 (roughly Rs. 15,400) for 4GB + 64GB variant, the 6GB + 64GB (roughly Rs. 16,400) variant is priced at Yuan 1,599, and Yuan 1,799 (roughly Rs. 18,500) for the 8GB+128GB variant.
Realme X has received a BIS certificate, which means the smartphone is expected to launch in India soon.
The Realme X Lite is a rebranded version of Realme 3 Pro launched in India. It comes with a 6.53-inch Full HD+ screen with a resolution of 1080x2340 pixels. The performance department is handled by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC paired with 4GB/ 6GB RAM and 64GB/ 128GB storage.
The Realme X Lite comes with a dual camera setup comprising of a 16MP f/1.7 sensor and a 5MP f/2.4 sensor. At the front is a 25MP selfie camera inside the notch with face unlock. It comes with a 4,045mAh battery with support for VOOC 3.0 fast charging. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, micro USB port, etc.
The Realme X Lite has been launched in China for Yuan 1,199 (roughly Rs. 12,300) in China for the 4GB + 64GB variant. The 6GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB variants will retail at Yuan 1,299 (roughly Rs. 13,300) and Yuan 1,499 (roughly Rs. 15,400) respectively.
