Perplexity AI co-founder and CEO Aravind Srinivas caught up with Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani recently and recalled the latter being the commencement speaker when he graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, a few years ago.
"Was a great honor to meet @NandanNilekani in DC. Nandan was the commencement speaker when I received my undergraduate degree at IIT Madras 6-7 years ago," Srinivas wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday and shared a photo with the Infosys co-founder.

"Perplexity is better then an any other AI tool," another user wrote.
Srinivas and Nilekani were part of the panel of speakers, chosen for the World Economy Summit 2024 that took place in Washington D.C. on April 17 and 18.
In an interview to Moneycontrol in February, Srinivas had said that India was not lagging behind by much in the AI race and Indians had "pretty good" awareness about generative AI.
