Paytm co-founder and CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma on Sunday took to X to complain about iPhone 16's camera quality and said that he was considering getting himself a new phone from a rival company -- Google's Pixel.

"I am surprised how the iPhone killed its camera (software/app) so badly in 16. It is so bad that I am seriously thinking of a Pixel now," Sharma wrote on X. He also asked if anyone else was going through the same struggle.

Responding to The Paytm boss's post, former Google executive Parminder Singh (@parrysingh) wrote, "Similar experience. Something’s seriously wrong with either the camera or the app."

X user Adithya Thatipalli (@adi_thatipalli) said, "iPhone 6 as the last iPhone with innovation. Later ones are more glamourous with technical features. Now the last 3 versions are just replicas." Another user Sahil Grover (@sahilgr17) commented, "Yes, sir. I’ve used all pixels, recently got an iPhone - can’t wait to go back. Pixel 9 is fast and with that camera - it’s different. Go for it."

Meanwhile, recent reports indicate that the iPhone 17 series will have improved heat management. A Forbes report stated that the series will have new hardware especially meant for heat dissipation. “Apple will add heat sinks to the iPhone 17 series and all models will be equipped with VC [Vapor Chamber] uniform heat plate dissipation,” quoted a Fast Technology report from the Chinese tech site, mydrivers.com.

For Apple, managing the temperature for an iPhone is important as in 2023 Apple had a problem when iPhone 15 was released and some phones overheated. The tech giant stated at the time that a bug was to blame, and fixed the software accordingly.

The iPhone 17 series is expected to be launched in September 2025.
