Huawei is planning to launch a new mid-segment smartphone called P Smart Z. The highlight of this device is a pop-up selfie camera with an all-screen approach. The smartphone will join the already launched Huawei P Smart series of P Smart and P Smart+ launched earlier this year.
According to a report by MobielKopen, the P Smart Z would be the first Huawei phone to sport a pop-up selfie camera. The device would sport a 6.59-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1080*2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.
Under the hood would be Huawei’s in-house Kirin HiSilicon 710 SoC paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The device would pack a 4,000 mAh battery with no word on fast charging support. Further, it would ship with Android 9.0 out-of-the-box and retain a 3.5mm headphone jack.
In optics, the back of the phone would have a dual camera setup comprising of a 16MP primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The secondary 2MP sensor would serve depth mapping. The device would sport a pop-up selfie camera on the top left side of the phone, allowing the phone to come with an all-screen, no notch display. The front camera would house a 16MP lens with f/2.0 aperture. It has a fingerprint sensor mounted on the 3D curved glass back panel.
The device is expected to launch for EUR 210 (approximately Rs 16,300). There is no word of the smartphone coming to India.
