67% Indians used their mobile phones to send new year greetings to near and dear ones, a survey by market research company IPSOS has shown.

According to the study, 66% Indians used their mobile devices to take photos at gatherings with friends and family, while 53% made use of online video chat platforms like Skype or FaceTime.

A total of 18,083 respondents were globally surveyed as part of Ipsos' Holiday Poll about technology and innovation.

With mobile phones becoming ubiquitous by the day, the number of people texting and clicking photos using cellphones is only bound to increase.
