"Oh boy. I knew the first time that I walked on a Christopher Nolan set that it was different. I could tell by the level of rigour, focus, dedication and the complete lack of any seating options for actors, I was as in the hands of a visionary director," Murphy, 47, said in his address.
"One of the most beautiful and vulnerable things about being an actor is that you can't do it on your own, really. And, we had the most incredible ensemble cast in the movie. It was magic. Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr, Matt Damon, Gary Oldman, thank you for carrying me and holding me through this movie," he added.

Meanwhile, "Oppenheimer" won big at the Golden Globes this year with director Christopher Nolan also taking the award for the best director. This was Nolan's first award and sixth nomination in the "Best Director - Motion Picture" category. He beat the likes of Martin Scorsese and Greta Gerwig.
Robert Downey Jr, on the other hand, won the Golden Globe for the best supporting actor for "Oppenheimer", beating "Barbie's" Ryan Gosling.
Starring Murphy in the titular role of the famed physicist, "Oppenheimer" is a biographical thriller on the life of the "father of the atomic bomb". Apart from Murphy, the film also starred Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr, Matt Damon and Florence Pugh, among others.
2023 saw a massive clash between "Oppenheimer" and Greta Gerwig's "Barbie" at the box office. Both the films released on July 21 last year and a new monicker -- "Barbenheimer" was born, owing to the showdown.
