Bollywood weekly wrap: 'Kedarnath' faring well at box office, '2.0' going steady

The moment of surprise is over with Sara Ali Khan's debut venture Kedarnath hitting theatres and finding a wide audience. The film managed a fair start with opening day collections at Rs 7.25 crore, according to BoxofficeIndia.

Moneycontrol had earlier reported how Sara has been the most promising debutants this year in Bollywood among starlets.

As it turns out, critics and analysts have taken to social media to appreciate Sara's performance in her debut venture.

Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath that stars Sushant Singh Rajput has been the biggest opening for the actor beating the Rs 6.30 crore Shudh Desi Romance earned on opening day. Of course, M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story did better business, but analysts pointed out that the driving force behind the film was not the stars, but the cricketer himself.

Kedarnath did well on Saturday as well, with collections of approximately Rs 9.75 crore. The film jump by 35 percent on day two, taking total two-day collections to Rs 17 crore.

On the other hand, the Hindi dubbed version of 2.0 earned Rs 9.25 crore on its second Saturday, taking its 10-day total to Rs 152.50 crore. The film's viewers grew by around 60 percent on its second Saturday as compared to the second Friday.
