A Saurya Airlines Bombardier CRJ 200 jet crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, Nepal with 19 people onboard. The ill-fated flight, bound for the tourist destination of Pokhara, veered off the runway during takeoff, resulting in a catastrophic accident, a video of which has now made way into social media.

The aircraft, carrying 19 individuals including crew members, reportedly flipped over after taking off, struck the ground with its wing tip, and subsequently caught fire. It ultimately plunged into a gorge between the hangar and the radar station.

The crash has led to the loss of 18 lives, with only the pilot surviving. The pilot has been rushed to the hospital and is receiving medical attention.

A harrowing video circulating on social media captured the final moments of the flight. The footage shows the plane losing control just a few hundred feet off the ground, followed by a fiery explosion and a massive plume of smoke upon impact.

In response to the incident, Tribhuvan International Airport has been shut down, with international flights being diverted and domestic flights halted. Emergency services and rescue operations were deployed to the crash site.

Authorities are conducting an investigation into the crash to determine the cause of the crash.
