A 22-year-old Bengaluru woman was left shocked when she found approximately 13,000 naked photos of herself and others in her boyfriend's phone, a Times of India report said.
The woman, who is a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) employee and was in a relationship with the man-identified as 25-year-old Adithya Santosh-who worked in the same firm, severed all ties with him after finding the photos and alerted other colleagues in the organisation on November 20. "It could have impacted several other women. Though he hadn’t done any harm to other women in the office, his intention was not known to anyone. If the photos were leaked it would have put them under trauma. We wanted to tell police that it is a potential issue," a spokesperson of the BPO said.
The legal head of the BPO filed a complaint at the local cyber crime police station against the man on November 23. The report said that Santosh and the woman were in a relationship for four months and the man had recorded their intimate moments.
The woman took his phone to delete the files, without him knowing about it, and opened the gallery section only to find the naked pictures. The woman also suspected that a few of the photos were morphed.
The man had been working in the BPO for the past five months as a customer service agent. The company issued a clarification that he had not used any device within the firm to morph the photos. A police official said that a case had been filed against the man's name and he was later arrested.
