Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is now reportedly planning to release the ability to forward video messages easily with multiple contacts. With this feature, you will be able to send short recorded videos up to 60 seconds long and forward them to multiple users,
WABetaInfo via its new post, reported, “It appears that WhatsApp aims to help people easily share their video messages in other conversations, without the need of recording a new video note. Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.9.30 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, we discovered that WhatsApp is rolling out the feature to forward outgoing video messages.”
A screenshot was also shared by WABetainfo, where we can see some beta testers can forward newly recorded video messages. In the previous updates, it was not possible to forward recorded video messages, making the process more complicated for users who wanted to share their video messages with different users.
Therefore, WhatsApp users had to use screen recording or record different videos for every single user, with whom they wanted to share the video. WABetaInfo also suggested that with the introduction of this feature, WhatsApp users will save a lot of time, as they don’t have to recreate the same video message.
It is particularly useful for those who frequently share video messages with their friends, family, or peers. As mentioned earlier, currently this feature is available to limited WhatsApp beta users, and a gradual stable rollout is expected to happen within the coming weeks.
