The wait is finally over and OnePlus 6 is here. The phone was officially unveiled by the company at an event held in London. The phone comes in three configurations and at a price starting £469. The London event witnessed the phone launch globally, however the India and China launch will take place on May 17.

The phone has been subject to a myriad of speculations, leaks and teases and is unarguably one of the most anticipated Android phones of the year. The phone, with a tagline of ‘The Speed You Need’, comes with the most popular smartphone feature of the year, the iPhone X-like notch.

OnePlus 6 is also the fastest phone ever from OnePlus’ stable. "This is the fastest flagship experience OnePlus has ever created,” OnePlus said.

The company also managed to throw another surprise when it launched a second product, the OnePlus Bullets Wireless headphones. The Bullet Wireless earphones will come at a price starting $69/€69/£69 and will be up for sale from June 5.

The device supports OnePlus’ legendary Dash Charging and the company claims it can last upto 5 hours on a charge of 10 minutes. The gadget sports USB Type-C for connectivity and users can connect to Google Assistant with a simple long press of the centre button. The headphones feature magnetic control and sports powerful 9.2mm audio drivers along with aptX support for superior audio quality.

Coming back to the show-stopper, OnePlus 6 comes in three RAM/storage variants, 6GB/64GB, 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB. The phone sports a 6.28-inch FullHD+ display (1080*2280p) with an iPhone X-like notch. The display has an aspect ratio of 19:9.

The company has stepped away from its traditional ceramic, metal or sandstone material for the first time ever for its flagship model and has introduced an all-glass design with the OnePlus 6. The company claims that the glass is nearly shatter-proof with Gorilla Glass 5 level protection. The phone is available in Mirror Black, Midnight Black, and a limited edition Silk White variants.

As speculated, the phone is powered by the latest and the most powerful processor from Qualcomm, the octa-core 2.8 GHz Snapdragon 845 which is accompanied by an Adreno 630 GPU. As mentioned earlier, the phone will come in two RAM variants, 6GB and 8GB and internal memory of 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. The device, however, will not support memory expansion.

Talking about the camera, the phone features a 20MP + 16MP dual-rear camera setup with an aperture rate of f/1.7. The cameras feature OIS and EIS for better image quality along with large 1.22µm for superior low-light photography. The cameras feature autofocus, dual-LED flash along with face detection. Along with ability to record 4K videos, OnePlus 6 is the first phone which can record slow motion videos at an incredible 480 frames-per-second (fps). The phone also features a 16MP front camera at an aperture rate of f/2.0.

The phone is powered by a 3300mAh with Dash-Charge capability. OnePlus 6 comes with a face unlock feature which the company claims will unlock the device in 0.4 seconds. The phone also supports a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS with Oxygen OS layered on top. Miscellaneous features of the water-resistant phone include dual band Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth 5.0, Type-C 1.0 connector, among others.
