Apple will release iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 to the public on September 18. The Cupertino-based technology giant released the public beta earlier this year in June, and the iPadOS 17 public beta was released in July.
The iOS 17 update promises to bring major changes and features long requested by fans. In short, it will include an updated phone app with full-screen contact photos, text transcription for voicemail, improved Dual-SIM support, Check-in for messages and a lot more.

Both updates will start rolling out on September 18. Here is a full list of devices compatible with iOS 17 and iPadOS 17.
Devices supported by iOS 17The oldest devices supported by iOS 17 are the iPhone XR, XS and XS Max, which were originally released in 2018.
A step above that are the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max for 2019, and the iPhone SE second generation along with the iPhone 12, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max and 12 mini which launched in 2020.

Devices supported by iPadOS 17The oldest iPad's supported are the iPad Pro 12.9-inch second generation, and the iPad Pro 10.5-inch which were released in 2017.
From there we move into 2018's iPad Pro 11-inch first generation and the sixth generation of the standard iPad. The iPad Air 3rd generation released in 2019, along with iPad mini 5th generation are also supported.
