Cyberpunk 2077 to have open world and multiplayer

Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be a bunch of "firsts" for CDProjekt RED. Other than the fact that it will be the company’s first game in a science fiction mythos, it will also be the first game by the developers that will have a multiplayer component. "It will be a story-based RPG experience with amazing single-player playthroughs, but we're going to add multiplayer features," CDProjekt RED's Managing Director Adam Badowski told Eurogamer.This will be the first time the company attempts multiplayer, but whether The Witcher 3 will have it or not is unknown as of yet. When asked about it, Badowski said, "We're thinking about something."Badowski also revealed some more information about Cyberpunk 2077. Like The Witcher 3, it will be an open world game but in a different setting. "The first and most important environment for Cyberpunk is the city, obviously," he said. "But not only the city: you can expect some more environments in the Cyberpunk game. We want to start in the Night City, which is cool. And yes it will be an open world game as well."Contrary to The Witcher 3, though, Cyberpunk 2077 will not have a pre-defined hero. The emphasis instead will be on making your own character and roleplaying. "We'll have different situation in Cyberpunk," said Badowski.
