A day after a local party worker died allegedly by suicide in Mullankolly in Wayanad, the daughter-in-law of a former District Congress Committee (DCC) treasurer, N M Vijayan, allegedly attempted to take her own life by injuring her wrist.
Reacting to the development, Balagopal told reporters on Friday that the state had requested both a grant and a loan for the rehabilitation of landslide-hit areas in Wayanad district.
