Voda's 5.6% stake sale in Airtel invites fresh tax notice

The revenue department is back in pursuit of Vodafone, and has served a fresh notice over non-filing of tax returns subsequent to divesting 5.6 percent stake in Bharti Airtel in 2007.
I-T Dept slaps Rs 3700 cr tax demand on Vodafone

Vodafone has confirmed that it will be challenging the latest demand of the I-T Department. Vodafone will be challenging the order before the Mumbai bench of the income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT).
