With this asset addition, IndiGrid's portfolio now consists of 19 solar projects across eight states of the country with a total generation capacity of 1.1 GWp.

The Swedish firm's technology will be used for Phase 4 of the project which is jointly owned by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Saudi Arabia’s Acwa Power and Chinese state-owned Silk Road Fund.

"The solar power plant that floats on the surface of water has a capacity of 500 kilowatts (KW). This is the country's largest floating solar plant," the official release issued by Kerala State Electricity Board read.
"With due consideration towards Tata Steel’s initiatives towards reducing carbon footprint, a three MW solar photovoltaic(PV) power plant has been commissioned at Noamundi and this is the first solar power plant in any iron-ore mine in the country," Tata Steel said today in a release.
The project was auctioned by state-run power producer NTPC, Azure Power said in a statement today.
The plant has been set up for captive consumption of the factory, on 80 acres of spare land available with it, making it self-sufficient not only for its power requirement but also reduced carbon footprint, the Defence Ministry said.
The consolidated estimated enterprise and asset value of India Power are now close to Rs 15,000 crore.
"The high degree of solar insolation in the state is enabling a generation of 2,20,000 units of clean energy per day," Hindustan Power said in a statement.
"Utpal Bora, Chairman and Managing Director, Oil India Limited, inaugurated a 40 KW solar power plant in Sasoni Merbeel Eco-Tourism Project, which has been provided by OIL under the company's CSR initiatives," the firm said in a statement.
The plant, set up at a cost of Rs 37.58 crore in 37 acres, will produce 8.06 million units of power annually.
