It's the last day for Reliance Jio's prime membership plan and customers have lined up outside Reliance Jio stores across India, reports CNBC-TV18's Priya Sheth.
Out of 100 million-plus free subscribers, nearly 50 million have signed up for its 'Prime' membership by paying a one-time charge of Rs 99 and buying data packs.
Ambani, in a media briefing, said that the telecom firm had notched 100 million customers mark in 170 days. These users collectively had consumed a whopping 100 crore gigabytes (GB) of data.
