Saroj Kumar Das, Chief Mechanical Engineer of Paradip Port Trust, had allegedly demanded Rs 60 lakh as bribe from the company through his conduit Sumanta Rout to let off OSL without paying for the repair of a conveyor belt at the port that was damaged during unloading of goods, officials said.
"Expressions of Interest (EoI) have been floated and the last date for submission is May 20 for both port city and multi-modal logistics hub. We hope to auction the land in July", Paradip Port Deputy Chief Mechanical Engineer (DyCME) and team leader for the project, B B Panigrahi told PTI.
Under the NRL’s proposed refinery expansion project from the existing three MMTPA to nine MMTPA, a 28-inch diameter 1400 km long crude oil pipeline of one MMTPA capacity will be laid for transporting six MMTPA of imported crude oil from Paradip port to Numaligarh.
Speaking to CNBC-TV18, Narender Surana said that the total EPC contract award is worth Rs 60.60 crore and for operations and maintenance works for ten years is Rs 4.75 crore which is more than 50 percent of FY16 revenues.
"The port achieved an all-time cargo record throughput of 76.38 million tonnes during 2015-16 as against the previous year traffic of 71.01 MT, exhibiting a growth of 7.57 percent," Paradip Port Trust's Chairman Rinkesh Roy told reporters.
State-owned Indian Oil Corp (IOC) on Friday said it has commissioned an oil jetty at its Paradip refinery in Odisha as it sequentially commissions units of the Rs 34,555 crore refinery.
Diversified conglomerate Mercator Group today said it has bagged two contracts worth Rs 210 crore from Paradip Port Trust in Odisha.
