Jharkhand to unveil new solar policy targeting to generate 4,000 MW in 5 years

To encourage families to use rooftop solar panels in cities, a subsidy of up to 80 per cent of the total installation cost will be given to people having an annual income of less than Rs 3 lakh.

PTC India is in discussion with Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) to get the power market introduced in the renewable sector. The discussions are at an advanced stage. "We believe during this year this market should also begin", Deepak Amitabh, CMD of PTC India said.
NTPC to spend Rs 18346 cr in MP, Karnataka

National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has announced an investment of Rs 1,8346 crore for implementing power projects in Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh. Both these projects are subject to necessary approvals from the environment ministry, it said.
