Bhupesh Baghel said the state government has restored the old pension scheme in Chhattisgarh to secure the future of government employees and their families.
He also called for revising the rates of royalty for coal and other major minerals from the state.
Baghel raised the issue in the NITI Aayog's seventh Governing Council meeting being chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi, an official said.
Demanding immediate withdrawal of the policy, the CM said youths, trained in weapons, could indulge in criminal activities when they become jobless after completion of their four-year tenure as part of the scheme.
Budget 2022 | Baghel said the budget has disappointed the larger section of the society as it failed to tackle the problems of unemployment and inflation.
