The 2011 Academy Awards saw 10 nominations in the VFX (visual effects) category. Of these, five films (including X-Men: First Class, Transformers: Dark of the Moon and The Tree of Life) had engaged an Indian company for 2D-to-3D conversion and post-production work.
The race for the best 3D televisions is heating up. Samsung and LG have both successfully launched 3D ready HDTVs that sport exciting features.
While 3D projectors have been around in the market for sometime now, they were just 3D ‘capable‘ projectors which meant you needed a PC or a
LG has been setting the standard with their 3D technology in televisions. At IFA 2011, they have done one better and introduced the LW980T Dual Play TV.
IFA 2011 begins on the 2nd of September, 2011 and LG have already announced a couple of 23-inch monitors, which are set to be showcased at the event in Berlin.
