Five people were injured in a road rage incident in Ambarnath, 50 km from Mumbai, when a Tata Safari SUV crashed into a Toyota Fortuner. A video of the incident shot by a bystander has gone viral on social media.

A disagreement between a Mumbai-resident in the Fortuner car and his son who was driving the Safari spilled out on the road on the Kalyan-Badlapur state highway on Tuesday evening. Police said that after a fight, the son crashed into his father's car.

Bindeshwar Sharma in a black Safari was following his father Satish Sharma, an ex-defence officer, and first hit his Fortuner car from behind. He then sped ahead and returned to ram into the car head-on. The impact of the hit was such that his father’s SUV skidded some 10 feet in the reverse and hit a parked bike.

The father had gone to Bindeshwar’s home to mediate in a domestic issue. According to reports, not finding him, he was on his way back, when Bindeshwar suddenly appeared from behind in his Safari.
