Two explosions within a gap of five minutes rocked the high-security technical area of Jammu airport in the early hours on June 27. The explosions took place around 1.45 am. Security agencies suspect that drones were used to drop bombs at the Air Force station.
"Two low-intensity explosions were reported early Sunday morning in the technical area of Jammu Air Force Station. One caused minor damage to the roof of a building while the other exploded in an open area," the Indian Air Force said.
It further said that there was no damage to any equipment. "Investigation is in progress along with civil agencies," it added.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh took stock of the situation. He spoke to Vice Air Chief, Air Marshal HS Arora regarding the incident at Air Force Station in Jammu, his office said, adding that Air Marshal Vikram Singh will visit Jammu to take stock of the situation.

The area was sealed by security forces within minutes and forensic experts rushed to the scene. A high-level meeting was underway at the Air Force station with senior police and Indian Air Force officials in attendance, sources told PTI.
Meanwhile, a suspected terrorist was arrested along with some explosive material in Jammu, officials told the news agency. The suspect, a resident of Banihal, was arrested from Trikuta Nagar area on the outskirts of the city late Saturday night.
Authorities have beefed up the security across Jammu province, following the arrest of the suspect with the explosive material.
The incident comes on the day Defence Minister, accompanied by the Army chief, began a three-day visit to Ladakh to carry out a comprehensive review of India's operational readiness.
"Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh will be visiting Ladakh tomorrow for three days. During his Ladakh visit he will inaugurate infra projects constructed by BRO and also interact with troops deployed in the region," Singh's office tweeted on June 26.
